Diane is all about action, getting things done. She listens, learns & leads.

Rentonites are tired of talk & status quo. They want results for long-standing issues, especially Public Safety, and Diane will work hard as Council Member, just as she has as a very active Community Member.

Diane is proud of her Pioneer Family roots, whose history is of public service & commitment to our Community. I am proud to wholeheartedly support & endorse the best candidate for Renton Council Position 2.

Candidate Renton City Council Position 1 - 2017

I have witnessed Diane's love for the community in action. From her work as former VP of North Renton Neighborhood Association( where she helped us in learning how to engage with the city), Member of Lions Club, organizing clean ups, throwing neighborhood get-togethers and assisting with code compliance for neighborhood issues. The list goes on and on. I know she will do the same for the rest of the city. That's why I think Diane Dobson is the best choice for Renton City Council Position 2.

Henry & Barbara Schellert, Renton, Washington - Lower Kennydale Neighborhood
     Renton Pioneer
Former Renton City Councilmember 3 Terms

Barbara and I are supporting Diane Dobson for Renton Council.

Diane was born and raised in Renton to a 4th generation Pioneer family.  She knows Renton history and has lived the good and bad times as we have grown.  Diane has a long list of volunteer achievements to improve the lives and neighborhoods of Renton.  She has demonstrated her leadership to "get things done" and has received numerous honors including our own prestigious City of Renton Citizen of the Year.  Diane has the skills and wisdom to listen to the neighborhoods when new laws are proposed; for example, building codes that encourage "in fill" development that may have adverse affect to existing property owners.

We encourage you to vote for Diane Dobson.

Theresa Zimmerman, Renton, Washington - North Renton Neighborhood
     Former Renton City Council Member

I am happy to support and endorse Diane Dobson for Renton City Council.  Having had the pleasure of watching Diane grow from a neighborhood child to an adult that fully understands the important roles of neighbors and neighborhoods in the building of community -- one home at a time -- she is an obvious choice.  She has worked tirelessly to keep livability standards high.  Efforts on her part positively benefits all Renton neighborhoods.  She is not adverse to the concerns of business knowing full well the necessary interaction between residents and business.  And while she appreciates Renton's standing in the greater region, she values Renton at its core, as the unique place it is.

Kevin Hays, Renton, Washington - North Renton Neighborhood

Please take the time to learn about all of your candidates. I believe Diane is the most qualified candidate who has seen more results as a citizen than the current council has in 4 years. As a council member, she will far exceed her already impressive resume.

Renton Friends - Please consider voting DIANE DOBSON for Renton City Council Position 2.

I can't say anything about the other candidates but I can say no one cares more about our City and no one works harder for improving our community than Diane.  I have known Diane for about 19 years and I have watched her as a force to reckon with; when she was swim coach at Hazen High School, the number of students involved in the sports tripled to 150 swimmers because Diane is such a natural leader.  One example of Diane's leadership?  She was an early, vocal opponent to plans by Renton School District to close the Hazen/Lindbergh pools.  Diane showed her team how important their voices are by encouraging them to show up en masse at public meetings to contribute to the discussion.  A great lesson in civic involvement that Diane has demonstrated in her life over and over again.

Carol Grimes, Renton, Washington - East Renton Neighborhood

I have known Diane for almost 11 years and she is my inspiration because she is active in the Renton Lions Club and doing so much in the community to make it a better place. If there is one woman I trust to put all of her effort and energy into improving the city of Renton, it's Diane Dobson. She works tirelessly as a citizen, and often without recognition of any kind, to keep the streets on which she lives safe and clean. While other people sit and discuss what should be done about Renton's problems, Diane is already out there working to solve them. She is a woman of action, integrity, and energy; the kind of energy that ignites passion in the hearts of others. Vote Dobson and vote for a safer, cleaner, and brighter Renton!

I've known Diane for many years, most of which were in a professional setting. She is hard working, intelligent, extremely nice and helpful, has always sought fairness for everyone, and fights for those who are unable or unwilling to fight for themselves. I am proud to say that I know and support Diane Dobson. Renton will be lucky to have her serving on city council.
